Dark Blue Rooms

Terms of sale and license

Last updated October 31, 2026

These terms govern your purchase and use of software from Dark Blue Rooms, a brand of DBR Sound LLC ("we", "us"). By buying or using our software you agree to them.

1. Who sells the software

The seller is DBR Sound LLC, an Arizona limited liability company. Our orders are processed by Paddle.com Market Limited and its affiliates ("Paddle"), who act as our reseller and merchant of record. Paddle handles payment, invoicing, sales tax and VAT, and billing support for your purchase. Paddle's own terms apply to the payment itself.

2. Your license

When you buy a product, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use it on up to the number of computers listed on the product page, for your own personal or commercial music work. Music you make with the software belongs to you.

3. What you may not do

  • Share, resell, or publish your license key or the software files.
  • Remove or bypass license checks.
  • Reverse engineer the software, except where the law gives you that right.
  • Use the software to infringe the rights of others.

4. Updates and support

Each license includes free updates for the current major version and email support at support@dbrsounds.com. We may release new major versions as separate paid products.

5. Refunds

Refunds are covered by our refund policy. A refunded license is deactivated.

6. Compatibility and third-party names

Our software works alongside products made by other companies, such as Ableton Live and MPC. Those products are trademarks of their owners. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by them, and we use their names only to describe compatibility. You are responsible for holding any licenses needed for those products.

7. No warranty

The software is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the extent allowed by law. We test our software, but we cannot promise it will be error free or work with every setup. Back up your projects.

8. Limit of liability

To the extent allowed by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the software is limited to the amount you paid for it, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as lost data, lost projects, or lost income.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, United States, without regard to conflict of law rules. Mandatory consumer rights in your country are not affected.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Changes do not reduce the rights you already purchased.
